The Magnificent Mile Chicago Women’s Half Marathon course takes runners on a loop route through the Windy City that starts and finishes in Grant Park, along the shore of Lake Michigan. From the starting line near the Art Institute of Chicago, runners head out first onto Randolph Street and then Michigan Avenue, where they’ll cross over the Chicago River twice and then head back toward the park. Later, the course runs past the Willis Tower, McCormick Place, the Field Museum and Soldier Field, as well as a nearly three-mile-long stretch down the “Magnificent Mile” from which the race gets its name.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
