Details
More than 28,000 participants took part in the 2006 running of the
Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and other
events. The race takes runners along a flat, fast, shady and scenic
course within view of the city-state's most well-known areas -- from
the Singapore River, Marina South Pier and central business district to
routes past East Coast Park and City Hall. Participants also pass by
the "Grand Old Lady" (National Stadium) and run along the beach road
through East Coast Park, with plenty of beautiful views of the water.

temperatures in December average between 73°F and 85°F,
with ample precipitation.
