Set for its inaugural running in 2016, the Race 13.1 Baltimore Half Marathon will follow a mostly-flat course that starts and finishes at the Canton Waterfront Park, featuring beautiful views of the Inner Haror area.
The majority of the course will have water views, running in and around the Inner Harbor as well as through the historic Fells Point, a “spirited waterfront community.” The convenient and scenic start/finish area will provide plenty of great post-race food and drink destinations for runners of all ages.
The course will generally be flat with some hills mixed in, particularly in the Fells Point Section of the race.
The list of fun things to do and places to explore in Baltimore is endless, and runners and spectators will enjoy spending the weekend visiting sites like Camden Yards, home of the Orioles, the National Aquarium, Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum and the Pratt Street Power Plant as well as the plentiful restaurants and shops throughout the Inner Harbor.
With more than 25 races in 10 states planned for 2016, Race 13.1 is the fastest-growing half marathon race series in the country, with the promise to provide runners “big race perks with local race convenience.”
Like all Race 13.1 events, runners can expect plenty of well stocked, well-staffed aid stations and lots of enthusiastic course monitors along the way. Runners can expect to have a text message from Race 13.1 with a link to the live results waiting for them when they cross the finish line, along with a first class post-race party.
As many as 2,000 runners are expected in the half marathon — see our race website for more info.
