Paso Robles,
CA
Date
Sunday, November 14, 2010
Event
Details
Runners will get the chance to run along the vineyards and country
roads of this state's legendary wine country at the autumn running of
the Wine Vine Run Half Marathon & 5K, which will take runners
on an out-and-back route through the hills and vineyards along central California's coastal mountain
range. Known for its wine growing as well as its numerous hot springs
resorts, the area is located within driving distance of both William
Randolph Hearst's San Simeon castle and Morrow Bay, a fishing town that
lies just to the south of the city.
The half marathon and the 5K run start at 8:00 AM and 8:15 AM,
respectively, at the Meridian Winery on Highway 46, just to the east of
Paso Robles's historic downtown. From there, the course winds its way
through the vineyards surrounding Meridian Winery, where runners will
also finish the race.
