Event Details

The hills, rocks and winding trails of Southern California's Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa National Park and Point Mugu State Park are the setting for the XTERRA Boney Mountain Xduro Trail Run, an event at which runners can choose to take on the half-marathon distance Xduro 21K or opt for the shorter 6K trail run challenge.

Runners will travel over miles of open grasslands, ankle-twisting rocks, and over the grueling, steep ascents of Boney Mountain. The run is the second of seven races in the 2008-2009 XTERRA SoCal Trail Run Series, but participation in the first event is not necessary to come out for this one. The top finishers from this event will add points toward their series total in hopes of winning the SoCal Regional Champion title to earn free entry to the XTERRA National Trail Running Championship, which takes place later in the year in Bend, Oregon.
