Run along a fast and flat race route along the beachfront shoreline of
the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida panhandle area, the Pensacola Beach
Half Marathon, 10K & 5K features a course that's open to both
runners and walkers (in the 10K and 5K races) and takes participants
along this city's scenic waterfront along paved roads between the Gulf
of Mexico and the Santa Rosa Sound. The race is also a flexible one for
participants who aren't sure exactly which race they want to run -- if
you've registered for the 10K and decide you want to run the
half-marathon in mid-race or vice versa, you're welcome to do so.
Organized by the local running & athletic group Pensacola
Runners Association, which hosts a series of area road races throughout
the year, the out-and-back race starts at Pensacola Beach at 8:00 AM,
followed by the finish line ceremonies starting at 9:30 AM, when the
first of the runners will be completing their race.
