Run along a variety of natural surface terrain within Eddie D. Jones
Recreation Park just outside Shreveport, La., the Louisiana Trails 50K,
Marathon
& Half Marathon offers plenty of challenging runs for
experienced trail runners as well as novices. Described by race
organizers as race with "varied and fun terrain" along single-track
trails through hardwood bottoms, shady pine
stands and bamboo thickets, the race also includes a few wide horse
& jeep trails, and the half-marathon portion of the event
follows a 13.1-mile
out-and-back loop course.

Weather & Climate
Shreveport normally sees moderate-to-cool temperatures in November,
averaging 45°F and 67°F. Be prepared for rain, however
-- the city sees an average of just under 5 inches of rainfall during
the month.

$45 if registered by October 27, 2008
$65 after Oct. 27 through the day of the race
