Details
Come out for a fast and mostly flat half marathon race that will help
raise money and awareness of the disease at the Lace Up Against Breast
Cancer Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk, which takes participants
through the streets of downtown Rochester and along the trails of two
of its most scenic city parks. The race, which raises funds for
Rochester's local Donna Hicken Foundation and the Mayo Clinic, also
includes a 5K for runners and walkers.
The race is run entirely on paved surfaces and has only a few hills.
From the starting line at Soldiers Memorial Field, runners follow an
out-and-back course that runs first south below the park and hits the
turnaround at about mile 1.5, and then begins the trek back northward
along the river past Mayo Park toward Silver Lake Park. The route
circles Silver Lake and then returns back to Soldiers Field for the
finish.

Weather & Climate
Like pretty much everywhere in Minnesota, the city of Rochester is
cooooold in the wintertime, as weather conditions warrant the region's
name as the "nation's icebox." In February, area temperatures average
between 26°F and 11°F, while precipitation amounts
(usually snow or other frozen precipitation) average less than an inch
for the month.
Fees
$35 for the half marathon
$25 for the 5K
