Greenville,
NC
Date
Sunday, October 11, 2009
Event
Details
Described by its organizers as a race with an "almost perfectly flat
course" here in eastern North Carolina, the Run For The Booty Half
Marathon will see its inaugural running in the fall of 2009 along the
city streets of Greenville, and will start and finish at the city's
Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, the home field of East Carolina University's
Pirates college football team.
Runners will start the race behind the stadium at 7:00 AM, and will
follow a course that takes them through the city's streets and
neighborhoods, with very little hills to speak of as they make their
way past the East Carolina University campus as well as other local
landmarks. In addition to the 13.1-mile race, the event also hosts a 5K
race (which starts at 7:30 AM) as well as a one-mile fun run and a
100-yard Blackbeard Kids' Dash for children ages 9 and under.
