Ohio > The Heights Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run
Huber Heights, OH • Saturday, June 22, 2013 • Course Map
Runners will get a chance to run a largely flat course with mostly gently rolling hills here in this suburban community just north of Dayton at the all-new Heights Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run, which makes its second annual running as spring is giving way to summer in late June 2013.
Organized by the Huber Heights YMCA, the race is set to follow a USA Track & Field-certified out-and-back course that starts and finishes in the parking lot of the YMCA, which lies near the intersection of Brandt Pike and Shull Road. From there, runners and walkers will head through the residential neighborhoods just to the west of the YMCA, along a winding route that reaches its half-way turnaround point on Carriage Trails Parkway.
After runners make the turn, they'll follow the same course they've just run in reverse, through the neighborhoods that lead back to the Y for the race finish. The scheduled starting time for the half marathon is 7:30 AM, and the 5K will start a half-hour later at 8:00 AM.
Race Weather & Climate
