Details
Now something of a tradition in Portland, the Run Like Hell Half
Marathon & 5K sees every kind of runner, including participants
who dress up in costume. The course takes you through the city's Pearl
District and includes views of the changing leaves as well as downtown,
Mt. Hood and more. With the start and finish lines at 4th ave. near
Pioneer
Square, the race starts off flat for the first five miles and then
begins a three-mile gradual uphill. Around the eighth mile, the course
again flattens out toward the end, with about four miles of rolling
downhill.

Weather & Climate
With temperatures that average between 48°F and 63°F in
October, the Portland area can see cool to mild weather in the early
fall. Rainfall is a possibility, as area precipitation
averages nearly 3 1/2 inches during the month.
