Details
Part of a weekend full of events that includes a full 26.2-mile
marathon and marathon relay, a Dasani-sponsored half marathon, a 5K
race and an ultra bicycle ride, the Myrtle Beach Marathon &
Half Marathon
welcomed over 4,000 runners for its 10th anniversary in 2007, and the
2008 race promises even more.
The race takes runners along the
coastline of perhaps South Carolina's most popular tourist destination,
starting and finishing near downtown's Coastal Federal
Field. This fast, flat out-and-back course takes runners along paved
city streets through the city, along Ocean Boulevard (with miles of
views of the Atlantic Ocean beaches) and through the city's Family
Kingdom
Amusement Park.

Weather & Climate
The month of February is typically one of the driest, coolest times of
the year in Myrtle Beach, with temperatures that average between
37°F and 61°F and rainfall totals averaging around 3.45
inches
for the month.

$60 if registered by Jan. 7, 2008
$90 between Jan. 8 - Feb. 14, 2008
$90 on the day of the race
