Details
The Canyon to Canyon Half Marathon is an out-and-back race that starts
and finishes at East Canyon Resort, a 9,600-acre retreat and recreation
area located in Henefer, Utah, a short drive from Eden and about 45
minutes from Salt Lake City. Starting at 7:00 AM, the race takes
runners along a paved road for the first mile and then heads south onto
Jeremy Ranch dirt road, following the road as it parallels a quiet
mountain stream through the canyon until the turnaround point.
The terrain is best described as rolling, with many short hills, some
of which can get steep. There's also lots of wildlife along the race
course that runners will get a chance to see if they keep an eye out
for them during the race, including raccoons, foxes and porcupines
making their way along the trail. The 10K run follows the same course,
with an
earlier turnaround point. Plenty of food, drinks, prizes and live music
await finishers back at East Canyon Resort.

Weather & Climate
Expect mild to moderately warm temperatures at this time of year.
Average temperatures for July 14 in Henefer are 87ºF for the
high and 49º F for the low. There is little chance of rain,
with average precipitation at less than 1 inch during the month.
