The Dam Half Marathon > Course Map
Runners start the race at the Deer Creek Dam and spend a little over the first half of the race running along the western edge of the Deer Creek Dam Reservoir at the Dam Half Marathon, which finishes at the Heber Valley Railroad depot in Heber City, which lies in the shadow of the nearby Wasatch Mountains just outside Salt Lake City. The first 7 1/2 miles unfold along the Provo-Jordan River Parkway trail, a groomed natural surface trail for this stretch, followed by paved roads once runners make the turn onto Stringtown Road.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
