Utah > Hobbler Half Marathon & 5K
Springville, UT  •  Saturday, July 13, 2013  •  Course Map

Runners get to make their way along an almost all-downhill course through northern Utah's Hobble Creek Canyon, with hills and mountains rising all around the race route, at the Hobbler Half Marathon, Relay & 5K, which makes its 4th annual running in the summer of 2013, after last year's race saw nearly 900 runners cross the finish line in the half marathon and 5K races combined.

The race unfolds through the area here in northern Utah known as Hobble Creek Canyon, which lies just southeast of Provo and just to the east of Springville, and is the third in a series of five running events staged throughout the year in the Provo area by Run13, which also includes the springtime Provo City Half Marathon & 5K.

Beginners and runners looking to set personal record times in a half marathon will find this race especially hospitable, as the route takes runners on a long, gradual descent from the mountains of the Unita National Forest just east of Springville, through the Hobble Creek Canyon area along Canyon Drive, for a point-to-point course that finishes in Springville at Arts Park, just off Canyon Drive.

In addition to the individual runner half marathon, the race also features a two-person relay half for men's, women's and mixed teams, as well as a 5K race. The half marathon events are scheduled to start at 6:30 AM, while the 5K race is scheduled for a 7:30 AM start. (Note that times are subject to change; check the race website shown below as the event approaches for any updates.)
