Event Details

The Top of Utah (TOU) Half Marathon is a scenic downhill race that takes runners through the beautiful Cache Valley in northern Utah. Held three weeks before the Top of Utah Marathon, the TOU Half is billed as a perfect training run for those preparing for the full marathon, as the course follows the middle 13 miles of the marathon route.

The race begins at 7:00 a.m. at the Hyrum Electrical Plant up Blacksmith Fork Canyon, which is approximately mile 7 of the full marathon route. The first half of the course is a steady downhill through the canyon, with spectacular views of Cache Valley and the surrounding Wasatch mountains. At about the halfway point, the course leaves the canyon and takes runners through the quaint little towns of Nibly, Millville, and Providence, eventually ending at Zollinger Park in nearby Providence.
