Details
An inline skating event designed to challenge skaters of all abilities,
the Big Granite Marathon & Half Marathon takes place along the
Wisconsin dairy country along a mixture of flats, hills, and
straightaways. The course also features several
curves, including a cone turn. Running along the base of the Penokee
Hill range, once most
well-known for its granite quarries (and the race's namesake), the
course is covered entirely by blacktop, and gives skaters scenic views
of the area's thick hardwood forests and wildflowers.
