Saturday, March 29, 2025 • El Dorado Hills, CA
Nestled in the heart of El Dorado Hills, the TCTRuns event promised runners an extraordinary journey through the breathtaking foothills of this stunning region. With winding trails that led through captivating landscapes adorned with majestic oak trees, lush green meadows, and the shimmering waters of Folsom Lake, this race was an ode to the natural beauty of the area.
The trail network featured a diverse array of terrain. Runners would find themselves gracefully gliding over well-maintained, fast single-track trails, with moments of exhilarating technical challenges that injected an element of thrill into the experience. These races were designed to be not just physically demanding but also incredibly enjoyable, ensuring every step was an adventure in its own right.
As runners ventured through this pristine wilderness, they’d encounter patches of refreshing shade, offering a brief respite from the Californian sun, while also embracing stretches of sunlit trails that exuded a sense of openness and grandeur. The juxtaposition of shaded groves and sun-drenched paths mirrored the contrast of challenges and rewards that every runner embraced.
For active members of the military and dedicated first responders, a token of gratitude was extended in the form of a 15% registration discount, a gesture that reflected the organizers’ appreciation for their service. To avail this special offer, participants were invited to reach out to the race team at team@tctruns.com, a channel that also served to process their registration discounts.
The organizers understood that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances might change. Therefore, while entry fees were non-refundable, there was flexibility in transferring the full registration amount (minus processing fees) to another TCTRuns event in the future. The race management was accommodating and responsive, willing to assist participants in making these changes if communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled event.
The TCTRuns event was more than just a race; it was an immersion into the captivating landscape of El Dorado Hills, a testament to the spirit of adventure, and a gesture of gratitude to those who serve our communities. It celebrated the diverse beauty of the region and invited runners to explore, discover, and savor the trails that they called home.
