Folsom Lake Point to Point Trail Half Marathon

The Folsom Lake Point to Point Trail Half Marathon is a single-track trail racing course that has moderate elevation gain, somewhat technical trails, and amazing Californian scenery.

Trail Running, Scenic Views. Situated just 20 miles from downtown Sacramento, Folsom offers its visitors and residents a mix of suburban living and city escape. The Folsom Lake Trail Half Marathon, in particular, takes place along beautiful Folsom Lake, with oak trees, green grass, and natural scenery throughout.

Not to mention, as part of El Dorado County, runners can also expect to enjoy the surrounding foothills along with awe-inspiring views of the snowcapped Sierra Mountains.

This point-to-point half-marathon course starts at Folsom Lake State Park and ends at the intersection of Falcon Crest Parking Lot and Monte Vista Trailhead. Running along the access roads, runners will first reach Lakeridge Oaks before reaching Brown’s Ravine Aid.

Runners will reach the second aid station known as Planeta Way Aid after mile 6, passing Lake Hill Cove, running around New York Creek Cove, and ultimately running around the Folsom Lake Recreation area to reach the finish.

During registration, all participants have the opportunity to purchase a tech-fit race shirt that’s gender-specific and comes in sizes ranging from XS to XXL. The race itself, starting at 8:00 a.m., provides participants with a 4.5-hour time limit.
