Immerse yourself in a world of coastal tranquility and exhilaration with High Tide Runs – where the rhythmic pounding of the waves harmonizes with the beat of your heart. As a dedicated runner, you’re well-acquainted with the thrill of the race, the euphoria of crossing that finish line, and the meditative escape that running offers. Now, picture all of this set against the backdrop of the boundless ocean horizon.
High Tide Runs isn’t just another event; it’s a movement, a community of runners united by their love for the sport and the serenity of the sea. We cater to a wide spectrum of runners, from seasoned speedsters chasing personal records to parents with strollers seeking a family-friendly outing. Our races are designed to be inclusive.
Why settle for the ordinary when you can experience something extraordinary at a fraction of the cost? We’re not about the glitz and glamour of extravagant events; we’re about authenticity and connection. Our mission is to make running accessible to all and to celebrate the journey rather than the spectacle. Our Santa Monica Course is USTAF certified and clearly marked, so you never need to worry about street closures, getting lost, or losing your way.
The 5K and 10K races will share the same course. The turnaround point is situated at mile 1.55, clearly marked with a runner turn sign, a prominent orange flag, and chalk on the path. The 5K consists of a single out-and-back lap, while the 10K involves two laps. We embrace an open-course philosophy, welcoming a diverse tapestry of fellow runners, walkers, and enthusiasts to share the day’s experience with you. Safety is our top priority, and we kindly ask all participants to remain on the designated pedestrian side of the beach path.
The course elegantly follows the beach path, without deviations, ensuring you a seamless journey. Along the way, we’ve strategically placed two water stations, stocked with both water and Gatorade, so you can stay refreshed and hydrated as you run.
Join us at High Tide Runs and experience the thrill of coastal running in its purest form, where the focus is on the run and the sea.
