Long Beach Classic Half & 5k

Join us for the LBS Financial Credit Union Long Beach Classic – Half Marathon and 5k, and start your summer off with a bang!

Scenic Views, Destination Race. Dubbed one of the most scenic courses on the West Coast, the Long Beach Classic Half Marathon is an incredible experience that’s more than just a race. Located in the vibrant coastal city of Los Angeles County, California, it’s a destination race for many.

Starting and finishing at Marine Stadium near the Boat Launch Ramp, the Half Marathon takes participants along Alamitos Bay, crossing the world-famous 2nd street, through Belmont Shore, and of course, along the beautiful coastline of Long Beach itself.

To begin, it’s a left onto 3rd Street followed by another left onto Appian Way. After a U-Turn at the Yacht Club, it’s onto Bayshore in pursuit of 54th Place. Onto the Beach Path, runners then continue forth toward the Downtown area before looping back and retracing their footsteps toward the finish line.

The course time limit for the half marathon is 3.5 hours, with rolling setpoints throughout that the participants must reach to avoid being forced out of the race.

After you cross the finish line, don’t head home. Instead, stick around for a celebration and savour delicious tacos and refreshing beverages at the amazing “Wine, Sip, & Savor Festival”.
