Napa Valley Marathon & Half Marathon

Established in 2019, the Napa Valley Marathon and Half Marathon racing event is an ideal destination course for those wanting to journey through California’s wine country.

The Napa Valley Half Marathon makes our list as one of the best half marathons in the world.

PR Chasers, Destination Race. Taking runners along Silverado Trail from Creek Winery to Vintage High School, this flat and fast point-to-point half marathon course is both scenic and speedy; the perfect mix between experience and accomplishment.

Outside of the race itself, Napa Valley is an incredible destination for a hosted event, with endless exploration and adventure to be had during race weekend, particularly as it pertains to food, wine, and hospitality.

From Conn Creek Winery, runners take off along Silverado Trail at Brennan Street for a point-to-point journey. Remaining on Silverado Trail for the duration, runners will pass several landmarks along the way including Rutherford, Oakville, Yountville, and Napa.

Aid stations for the half marathon course are located at mile 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12, making for a total of six opportunities to fuel and rehydrate. Runners ultimately cross the finish line in the parking lot of Vintage High School.

All runners are encouraged to pick up there swag bag comprising of a race shirt, race bib, and other surprise goodies. During pick-up, be sure to stick around for happy hour, with complimentary beer and wine tastings offered throughout.

Post-race, all participants are invited to join for a pasta dinner, held at Meritage Resort. Finally, for those more interested in the race itself, the half-marathon course has a generous cut-off time of 6.5 hours, making it a welcoming atmosphere for walkers, joggers, and runners alike.
