Step right into the zany world of the Vulture Venture, a race that’s as wild and quirky as it gets, all in honor of National Vulture Day! We’ve come together to celebrate these unique and often-underappreciated creatures in a way that only a race can – with a hefty dose of laughter and a sprinkle of eccentricity.
You might be wondering why we’ve selected vultures as our muse for this special day. Well, let’s be honest; they’re not exactly the poster birds of glamour in the animal kingdom. They feast on the remains of the deceased, they’re bald, and their quirks are numerous. But you know what? We think they’re remarkable. And we think you’re equally fantastic for joining us in this unusual race.
So, prepare to spread your wings and take flight as you traverse the course. We guarantee you’ll have a feather-ruffling good time at this race. So don your finest plumage, lace up your running shoes, and let’s shower these vultures with the love they deserve. Who knows, you might even pick up a thing or two about these fascinating birds along the way.
If you’re in search of an exhilarating and offbeat racing experience, cast your gaze toward the Monsters of the Deep, a race dedicated to celebrating National Sea Serpent Day!
Join us for a captivating run along the magnificent coastline as you embark on this unique race. The course winds along the shoreline, treating you to breathtaking views of the ocean as you compete with fellow runners.
But, be on your guard – whispers tell of mystical sea monsters lurking just beneath the waves. Are you courageous enough to confront them?
Whether you’re a seasoned runner on the hunt for new thrills or just someone seeking a fun way to observe National Sea Serpent Day, the Monsters of the Deep promises a gripping and unforgettable experience.
The courses are not closed, meaning you may encounter other runners, walkers, and beachgoers sharing the path. The course exclusively follows the beach path, well-marked with two water stations and restrooms along the way. It’s an out-and-back course, so you’ll start and finish in the same location.
