The Zoom Firecrack Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k event is a fast and flat course accessible for all fitness levels.
PR Chasers, Trail Runners. As a relatively flat and fast course, many who sign up to run this race are seeking a potential PR! Located in Alameda County, this event host location resides just 40 miles from famed San Francisco!
Kicking off in the Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation area and following along the infamous Alameda Creek Trail, this half-marathon course ultimately leads runners up to the nose of Niles Canyon. Runners then loop and head back to the initial start line where they’ll finish.
As a fast and flat course, this event provides runners with 3.5 hours to cross the finish line. To reduce waste and litter, this event is cupless. As such, it’s recommended that all runners bring their preferred means of containing fluids during their run. Note that aid stations are posted every 2-5 miles, with fresh fruit, snacks, water, and electrolytes available.
