Both full marathoners and half-marathoners start their race at the same starting line, at the corner of 2nd Street and Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, just blocks from the bridge across the river. From there, the Austin Half Marathon course takes runners on a climb of nearly 200 feet over the first couple of miles. The last few miles of the race follow a long straightaway along Enfield to 15th Street, followed by a run around the Texas State Capitol building to the finish line.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
