Runners follow a figure-eight-shaped out-and-back loop course at Babcock State Park’s Gristmill Grinder Half Marathon, which starts and finishes at the park’s Sugar Camp Run Picnic Area, near the main entrance to the park. From there, runners make their way along a combination of some paved park roads and mostly single-track trails through the forests, which also include some creek crossings and plenty of rugged, rocky and occasionally muddy terrain.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
