Runners follow an out-and-back course for the Boothbay Region Harbor Fest Half, which starts and finishes along Emery Lane, next to Penny Lake Preserve. From there, the race follows a clockwise loop route through this town on the sea, taking runners over marshes, lakes and tidal rivers, with plentiful views of the ocean for much of the way. You’ll also run across a pair of islands and over a footbridge during the half marathon, which will finish back where you started on Emery Lane.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
