Runners follow an out-and-back course for the Buffalo Wallow races just outside Lubbock, along a double-loop route that takes runners around the outer perimeter road of Buffalo Springs Lake, starting near the park’s entry gates on High Meadow Road. From there, participants run a clockwise loop around the lake twice, as High Meadow Road gives way to Indian Trail on the lake’s eastern end and Comanche Drive along its southern and western shore.
