The Cape Cod Half Marathon made its debut in 2011 as the newest addition to the Cape Cod Marathon & Relay, with the 13.1-mile race running on Saturday while the full marathon is run on Sunday. Runners in the half will share the same starting and finish line as the full marathoners and mostly the same race route, though they’ll head off in different directions at the start of the race — much of the course takes runners along the waterfront of Vineyard Sound looking out across the water to Martha’s Vineyard.
