Runners follow an out-and-back counter-clockwise loop route for the half marathon, which like the 5K starts and finishes near the Lansing Center. From there, runners make their way past Michigan State University, Scott Woods Park and Potter Park, and of course the Lansing River Trail for much of the race. The terrain for the course is almost all paved surfaces throughout, along a combination of city streets and the River Trail, along a mix of tree-lined paved pathways and pedestrian bridges.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
