Runners follow an out-and-back course for the Chicagoland Spring Half Marathon, which runs largely through Busse Woods, the park that’s also called the Ned Brown Preserve and lies just outside the Schaumburg commercial district, about 30 miles west of downtown Chicago. The race starts and finishes just off I-290 near Higgins Road, and then unfolds along the running, walking and biking paths within the park.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
