The Citrus Heritage Run Half Marathon course follows an out-and-back route that starts and finishes less than a block from Riverside’s Arlington Heights Sports Park on Van Buren Boulevard, and from there takes runners in and around the citrus groves here in the region known as California’s Inland Empire. About three miles in, runners head into the California Citrus State Historical Park, a 248-acre open air museum for the state’s citrus industry that doubles as a working farm, and produces many fruits today.
