Course Map: Cowtown Half Marathon

The course for Forth Worth’s Cowtown Half Marathon starts just a stone’s throw away from the finish line, along Grady Street next to the Will Rogers Memorial Center. From there, runners head out into the park and then northward into the north side of the city. With the exception of a few rolling hills, the course is largely fast and flat through the first half of the race. Next, there’s a long straightaway along Main Street and across the Trinity River, before the race finish back at the Will Rogers Center.

It is important to note some years the Cowtown is run backwards which makes the notorious Main Street bridge downhill into the Stockyards at approx mile 4

Please provide a street closing schedule. Will traffic be allowed to cross the course at certain points? If so where? It looks as if the entire downtown area is cut off due to the race course, so there must somewhere to cross to get to First Christian Church and other downtown churches that Sunday morning. Thank you.
