Course Map: Newburyport Half Marathon

The Newburyport Half Marathon takes runners through one small part of what is known as the Massachusetts North Shore, the string of towns and cities along the coastal area between Boston and New Hampshire, which is known for the stark beauty of its rocky coastline and beaches as well as its distinct culture and history. From the starting line in front of the park on Merrimac Street, runners then head out on what is basically a counter-clockwise loop through the city.

Looks pretty flat, Jenny. Click on the topographic icon on the map and you can see the elevation for each mile. Looks like a hill from 9 feet to 100 feet early on in mile 1 or 2. Then mostly downhill. A small hill at mile 12.2? Then a pretty long downhill to the finish line. Hope this helps. Newburyport will be my first half, so looking forward to it in a couple of months. Good Luck!
