Runners will start the Half on the Head course from Sandhills Road overlooking Ballyheigue Beach, and from there will begin a counter-clockwise loop around the Kerry Head Peninsula. Much of the race will be run on the Wild Atlantic Way, a stretch of highway that will take you through some of the most wild and unspoiled places in this part of Ireland, where ocean waves crash against dramatic rocky coastlines and you might even get to see the fabled Cliffs of Dooneen, depending on the weather.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
