Runners are set to follow an out-and-back loop course for the Haunted Half Marathon, which (appropriately enough) starts and finishes at J. Lorraine Ghost Town, an Old West-styled family theme park built to mimic a real Western town that once stood just a few miles away. They’ll follow a clockwise route here about a dozen miles from Austin, in between running a route that the race organizers say “is so flat, it’s scary.”
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
