Runners start the out-and-back course for Omaha’s Heartland Half Marathon at the Lewis & Clark Landing, a public park nestled along the banks of the Missouri River, just off Riverfront Drive and the I-480 bridge. From there, they’ll follow a counter-clockwise route through Heartland of America Park and along the Highway 275 Trail over into Iowa, where the second half of the race unfolds. That’s followed later by a stretch across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and back into Nebraska for the race finish back at Lewis & Clark Landing.
