Runners follow an out-and-back course along the Coney Island Boardwalk at Brooklyn’s Indian Summer Half Marathon, which starts and finishes at the Steeplechase Pier. From there, runners first head east along the boardwalk for a 3.1-mile loop, which heads out to the end of the boardwalk and back. Then, runners continue heading west all the way to the second turnaround point, near West 37th. Then it’s all the way back to the other end of the boardwalk again for another loop, and then another full loop before crossing the finish line back at the pier.
