Runners follow an out-and-back loop route through the city for the Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon, which starts with the full marathon and the 5K on Washington Street near the Indiana State Museum. From there, the course heads out on a tour of the Indiana State Capitol, Monument Circle and other federal monuments, as well as University Park and Veterans Memorial Park. Then there’s a brief stretch along Fall Creek followed by a long straightaway stretch down Meridian back to the museum for the race finish.

How in the world is someone able to get to a church event inside that crazy loop?
Hello..I need to know that I will be able to reach 12th & Pennsylvania so I can pick my mom up from dialysis. As u know both of those streets are one way & the center is on the corner. Thank u.
If we do not have a 15min per mile and want to take the risk and finish it after it closes but do it before the 3p.m. cut off would we still get our half marathon medal?? I would finish well before 3pm but cannot do a 3.5 hour half.
Is 65 blocked off or do the runners go under it?
