Runners follow a point-to-point route that’s almost all downhill at the Iron Horse Half Marathon, which starts in Olallie State Park and finishes in North Bend, at Claggett Field. In between the start and the finish line, organizers point out that 90 percent of the course is downhill as it makes its way first along the Iron Horse Trail and then along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, after the turnaround at Rattlesnake Lake.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
