Runners follow an out-and-back course for the half marathon along the reconstructed Jewfish Creek Bridge at the Key Largo Bridge Run, which crosses over the area known as Florida’s Gateway to the Keys. Once runners reach the turnaround point on the highway along the narrow stretch of land that separates Manatee Bay and Long Sound, they head back and retrace their steps along the route they’ve just run, all the way back to Reef Drive for the race finish.

Key Largo Bridge Half Marathon
Is this route runnable outside of the race day? I can’t tell from images whether the whole run is on the driving surface and that traffic would have to be rerouted for the race day, or is there a footpath along that whole route that is accessible outside of that race day?
Thank you,
Justin
