Course Map: Maui Paradise Half Marathon

The stunningly beautiful blue waters of Hawaii’s Alalakeiki Channel and its Maalea and Makena Bays, as well as its massive Haleakala Volcano rising in the distance, form the backdrop for this race’s quarterly running (the race is run once each in the spring, summer, fall and winter). With its mixture of flat stretches and sometimes challenging hills between Kalama Beach Park and Makena Bay, the half marathon features an out-and-back course with spectacularly scenic views of the ocean along the entire race route.

The race has also been called the most beautiful marathon course in the world by publications like Cool Running, and we bet that’s a view many runners will agree with when they step out onto the roads overlooking the Pacific.

Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
