Set for its annual late summer-early fall running, Lewiston’s Mighty Niagara Half Marathon unfolds over a long, very gradual downhill descent from the starting line along the Niagara River all the way to the finish line along the shores of Lake Ontario, in Porter-on-the-Lake Park. While most of the terrain is made up of paved and/or brick road surfaces, roughly a two-mile stretch through Old Fort Niagara will feature crushed gravel surfaces.
