Runners follow an out-and-back course for Port Arthur’s Pleasure Island Bridge Half Marathon, which starts and finishes on the island in Logan Park. From there, the course takes runners along the Sabine Neches Intracoastal Waterway that separates Pleasure Island from the mainland, and over the 5,032-ft.-long MLK Jr. Bridge over the waterway, which runners will cross twice on the way to the mainland and back over to the island.
Note: The course map above provides the approximate route for the race. Though every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy, changes are sometimes made to race routes due to weather conditions, road closures or other circumstances that can require a course to be changed.
