At the October running of Escondido’s Raptor Ridge Half Marathon, runners follow an out-and-back course that starts and finishes just off Sunset Drive and takes runners on a combination of old Jeep roads through the San Dieguito River Valley and mountain trails that wind up the ridgeline known as Raptor Ridge. The course takes runners past boulders stationed on the grassy hills, where they will be able to look out onto the valley below.
