Course Map: Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon

Runners start the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon near Fisherman’s Wharf, at the intersection of Stockton Street and the Embarcadero. From there, the race unfolds first south along Powell Street and then west along Bay Street, heading toward the San Francisco Bay waterfront along Marina Boulevard. That’s followed by a trek through Crissy Field and then onto the Golden Gate Bridge, which you’ll run across over to Vista Point before heading back across the bridge. Then there’s a stretch along the San Francisco Bay Trail, before heading to the finish in front of the San Francisco Maritime Historical Park and Ghirardelli Square.

Course map info is not correct for 2017. Course started in Golden Gate park which was 100 ft higher than the water. Also, its hilly, but not nearly as much as graph depicts. You can draw a roughly straight line from mile 4.42 at 160ft to mile 8 at 160 ft. There are no hills here. This is the bridge. It has a slight uphill toward the middle both ways, but is essentially flat.
