Named for the two cities connected by railways and trails — Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, or “CRANDIC” — the half marathon at this race follows an out-and-back route that starts on the Stringer Bridge on the Cedar River, along 16th Avenue. From there, the route heads south into the Linn County areas south of the city, including a roughly 2-mile-long stretch on the Cedar River Trail. You’ll finish the race back along 16th Avenue, near Sokol Park.
