Course Map: Run & Ride Kings Island Half Marathon

The Run & Ride Kings Island Half Marathon course takes runners on an out-and-back tour of Ohio’s Kings Island theme park, which bills itself as the Midwest’s largest amusement and waterpark and is located just a short drive from nearby Cincinnati. Except for a few hills between miles 3-5 and again between miles 10-12, the course is largely fast and flat. Starting in the parking lot, the race unfolds on paved surfaces past a replica of Paris’s Eiffel Tower as well as plenty of roller coasters, water slides and other park rides. (Note: the course below includes only the first loop; you’ll run two loops for the half marathon.)

Where to I find the race results? I have gone to the home page and I cannot find the race results. Please give me the direct website for race results. Thanks!

Are the “paved” roads on this course cement or blacktop primarily? Thank you.

Great question, Bob. Using the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the map, you can select “Satellite” to see Google Earth images of the course map, and you can zoom in to the sections within the park where the race will be run. When I look at the route, I see a combination of brick, paved and blacktop surfaces. Hope that helps!
