From the starting line at Genesee Lake Road Park just south of downtown Oconomowoc, runners follow a double out-and-back course for the SummitFest Half Marathon, which passes by Golden and Laura Lakes here in this small city just west of Milwaukee. The only hills of the race occur between miles 3 and 4 (and miles 9 and 10) along Golden Lake Park Road and Indian Point Road; after that, the course remains largely flat in to the finish line back at the park.
