Course Map: Thelma & Louise Half Marathon

Runners follow a rugged loop course at Moab’s Thelma & Louise Half Marathon, which takes place along the remote Behind the Rocks Trail just outside Moab. From there, the course is a mix of dirt road, slickrock, and sandy washes with views of the La Sal Mountains in the distance. Half marathon runners will complete the course once, while full marathon runners will continue west along the trail at the halfway point.

I just registered for the half marathon and I would like to camp. I didn’t mark that part on my registration and I’m wondering if that’s my best option as I know sites fill up. If i reserve camping through this race, will i be guaranteed a spot or do I need to get there on first come first serve basis still. Thanks for any help you can provide. I’ve done this race two other times and really enjoy it. I normally stay in a hotel and this year i’d like to camp.
